I’m excited to announce that I’ll be speaking at CodeMash 2022, taking place January 11-14 at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio.
CodeMash is one of the largest developer conferences in the Midwest, known for its unique venue (yes, it’s at a waterpark!) and its diverse range of technical and professional development content. The conference brings together developers, architects, and technical leaders from across the country for four days of learning and networking.
In this session, I’ll be exploring the crucial differences between leadership and management, drawing from my 20 years of experience in software engineering and IT management. We’ll discuss:
- The transition from individual contributor to leader
- Common misconceptions about leadership roles
- Real-world scenarios and solutions
- Practical strategies for emerging leaders
Not Your Typical Conference
CodeMash is special because it:
- Takes place at a waterpark resort in the middle of winter
- Offers a unique “KidzMash” program for young developers
- Features both technical and soft skills tracks
- Provides extensive networking opportunities
- Has been running since 2007
If you’re planning to attend CodeMash 2022, I’d love to connect! Look for my session in the leadership track.
