I’ve always believed in the power of sharing our stories. Now I’m expanding how I do that.
For years, I’ve been writing here on this blog, chronicling my journey through tech leadership, capturing moments of growth, and documenting the lessons learned along the way. If I’m being honest, I started blogging a good amount of time back and never really promoted it as it was more for self-expression and chronicling to some degree.
But you know what they say about trees falling in forests with no one there to hear them – they don’t really make a sound, at least not an impactful one. So I started sharing more intentionally, and something beautiful happened. People began resonating with these stories, finding pieces of themselves in my experiences, and most importantly, using these insights to navigate their own journeys.
The Evolution of Authentic Storytelling
What I’ve learned is that authentic storytelling isn’t just about sharing what happened – it’s about sharing what it meant and how it changed us. It’s about those moments when we realize something profound about ourselves, our work, or our relationships. It’s about the space between the experience and the lesson, where the real transformation happens.
That’s where the magic lives, and that’s exactly where I want to take you.
Bringing You Along for the Journey
This week, I launched my YouTube channel with weekly unscripted videos where I’m literally bringing you along for the various journeys I’m on. No fancy production, no perfect lighting – just real conversations about real experiences as they’re happening.
There’s something powerful about seeing and hearing stories versus just reading them. When I tell you about the tripod that wouldn’t work and what it taught me about leadership, you get to see the frustration and the revelation in real time. When I share the moment I realized I needed to “put down the ducky” to move forward, you hear the emotion in my voice that words on a page can’t fully capture.
These videos are where I’m sharing the raw, unfiltered version of the stories that eventually make it here to the blog in more polished form. It’s like getting the director’s cut before the movie is even finished.
Between the Lines: Going Deeper
But here’s where it gets really interesting. I also launched “Between the Lines” on Substack – my premium content space where I dive deeper into the strategic insights that unlock potential.
You know those moments in my stories where I mention a framework I developed or a system I created to solve a problem? Between the Lines is where you get the actual framework. It’s where I share the templates, the decision trees, the step-by-step processes that emerged from these experiences.
Think of it this way: if the blog gives you the story and the YouTube channel gives you the journey, Between the Lines gives you the tools to create your own transformation. It’s more frequent, more actionable, and designed specifically for leaders who want to implement what they’re learning.
The first toolkit I released this week is a comprehensive personal branding resource – not the surface-level stuff you see everywhere, but the deep work of figuring out your authentic professional identity and showing up consistently as that person.
How It All Connects
Here’s how these three platforms work together to give you different ways to engage with the content:
The Blog remains my professional home base – the place where polished stories meet practical insights, where I take time to fully develop the frameworks and really explore the implications of what I’ve learned.
YouTube is where you get the real-time version – the unscripted, authentic moments where I’m figuring things out as I go, sharing insights as they happen, and bringing you into the process of learning itself.
Between the Lines is where we roll up our sleeves and get to work – where the stories become strategies, where the insights become implementation guides, and where your own transformation begins.
What This Means for You
Whether you’ve been following along for a while or you’re just discovering my work, you now have multiple ways to engage with these stories and lessons:
- If you love reading and want the full, thoughtful exploration of ideas, stay right here on the blog
- If you want to feel like you’re having coffee with a friend while getting real-time insights, or you want to join me live to actually build solutions together, subscribe to my YouTube channel
- If you’re ready to stop just consuming content and start actively transforming your leadership, join me on Between the Lines
The beauty is that each platform enhances the others. The YouTube videos often spark ideas that become blog posts. The blog posts get deeper exploration in Between the Lines. And the premium content helps me develop better frameworks that make their way into everything else.
Join the Expanded Conversation
This expansion isn’t just about more content – it’s about creating more touchpoints for transformation. It’s about meeting you where you are, whether you’re someone who learns by reading, someone who processes through watching and listening, or someone who needs the step-by-step implementation guides to actually change.
My name is Stacie, and I’m expanding how I share my story because I believe our stories have the power to unlock potential in others. The question is: how do you want to engage with that potential?
